Our team of experienced materials scientists, engineers and support staff have a long history of building strong, productive collaborations with our customers, developing new materials optimised to meet specific performance, processing or aesthetic requirements. TFP’s new laboratory and pilot scale facility, as well as our extensive converting facilities; including a high spec laminator, fibre plating line, particle plating facility and nanocoating line, enable this effective material design and smooth scale up from concept to larger scale production.

Our nonwoven quality is also second to none, we are AS9100 and ISO9001 accredited, providing our customers with the assurance of our commitment to the highest possible standards. Quality, along with customer orientation, innovation and a commitment to sustainability are the foundations of our business, inherited from our parent company James Cropper PLC which was founded in 1845.

This commitment to sustainability is demonstrated by our strong focus on the hydrogen economy, a sector which encompasses the fuel cell market, where TFP is one of the leading suppliers of gas diffusion layer (GDL) substrate globally. In January 2021 we expanded our product portfolio for hydrogen technologies with the acquisition of TFP Hydrogen Products (formerly PV3 Technologies Ltd) a specialist in materials for electrochemical technologies. TFP Hydrogen Products shares our passion for sustainability and emphasis on customer collaboration, developing and manufacturing high performance catalyst powders for use in fuel cells and electrolysis, as well as water electrolyser materials which improve system efficiency and durability, reducing the cost of generating green hydrogen as a fuel source. This enables us to offer our innovative material solutions into multiple points of the supply chain for the green hydrogen economy.
